Indoor fees are set on a team basis and Zones use these in calculating their player registration fees. The substantial increases in team fees for the upcoming indoor season reflect 3 factors.

--Based on an agreement with the Zones, every youth team will be scheduled for 20 practices during the indoor season, approximately 1 hour/week, 2 teams sharing a field (¼ turf or sportcourt). The fees for these practices are now included in SYSI team fees and amount to $1190/team/season.

--Each Zone will determine how these practice fees are integrated into their registration fee structure and to what extent these practice times will replace or supplement existing practice times and expenses.

Based on the popularity of the 8v8 game and with the full support of the Zones, the top 2 divisions will be playing a full 20-game schedule on half-field turf. The increases in team fees reflect the change from a partial 6v6:8v8 schedule for last year\'s Gold division and a total 6v6 schedule for last year\'s Silver A division.

In consultation with the Zones and their technical representatives, we are reducing the number of players on the field for divisions playing on ¼ turf or sportcourt fields from 6v6 to 5v5. As a result the recommended teams size is being reduced from 14 to 12 players which will result in a 10-15% increase in each players share of the team fees.
